Dr. Frederick Feit will be speaking at the American College of Cardiology meeting in Orlando, Florida ion Sunday, March 18th. His topic will be Side Brand Occlusion and is part of the ACCIS.
Tuesday, October 17th
Dr. Frederick Feit will be speaking at the Trans-catheter Therapeutic Meeting in Washington, D.C. on a variety of topics beginning on Tuesday, October 17th in Washington, D.C. (The leading Interventional conference in the world.) On Tuesday, October 17th, he will be lecturing on "Basic Coronary Anatomy and Physiology" to Interventional Cardiologists from around the world who are seeking Board Certification.
Thursday, October 19th
On Thursday, October 19th, Dr. Frederick Feit will be participating in a debate against Dr. Cosgrovs from the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Cosgrovs will be advocating the position that Diabetics with Coronary Artery Disease should be treated with bypass surgery. Dr. Feit is a firm believer that most patients with coronary artery disease including diabetics are candidates for coronary stenting. His prior work has demonstrated that 2/3 of diabetic patients who are candidates for either procedure has equivalent survival at 5 years with angioplasty as bypass surgery. These results should only be improved with stenting.
On the evening of Thursday, October 19th Dr. Frederick Feit will be speaking at a symposium at the TCT on the United States experience in the treatment of smaller vessels with stents. Dr. Feit has been a pioneer in the use of stents with biologic coating for this and other indications.
Friday October 20th
On Friday October 20th Dr. Feit will be giving a lecture at the TCT on the treatment of diabetic patients with coronary artery disease. Dr. Feit will also be sharing a session on the use of new closure devices in the repair of the femoral artery access site.
