Annual Skin Cancer Screening


Description

Join us for this free skin cancer screening, in collaboration with the American Academy of Dermatology, to help stay healthy as summer approaches.

All are welcome, especially those who have a changing mole, a previous history of melanoma, are over 50 (especially men), and do not have a regular dermatologist. These individuals may be at particularly high risk for melanoma, the most serious form of skin cancer.

No appointment is necessary. Please arrive no earlier than 1:00 p.m. and no later than 4:30 p.m. to ensure that you are seen. Please call 212.263.2627 for screening information only. Co-sponsored by The Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology.

Description

The Weight of the Nation is a ground-breaking documentary series that explores the scope of the U.S. obesity epidemic, the science on weight gain, childhood obesity, and the major driving forces causing the obesity epidemic. Come and attend a screening of a portion of this documentary, followed by a discussion led by healthcare professionals in the field.

Lunch will be provided after the program. In collaboration with the Office of Business Affairs at Woodhull Medical Center North Brooklyn Health Network.
