Following the Seasons for Optimal Health Series. Spring: Wood Element

Following the Seasons for Optimal Health Series. Spring: Wood Element

Description

Nourishing life as it unfolds according to the five seasons is one of the basic beliefs of Chinese medicine. Through this series you will learn simple and effective ways to take care of yourself by becoming aware of each season’s corresponding element.

Spring: Wood Element. Spring is represented by the wood element, and includes the liver and its complementary organ, the gallbladder. The wood element represents new life, growth and development—a time to flourish and bloom. In this lecture, you will learn to recognize this element in you and to determine when it is out of balance.

Lunch will be provided after the program. In collaboration with the Office of Business Affairs at Woodhull North Brooklyn Health Network.
