Description

All women have some level of risk for ovarian cancer. This lecture will help you better understand the importance of good gynecologic health. As we explore the risk fac­tors associated with ovarian cancer, you will learn how to assess your personal risk, reduce certain risk factors and manage those that you cannot. A survivor will also share her story.

Neurofibromatosis Type 2: An Update


Description

Neurofibromatosis type 2 is an autosomal dominant genetic condition associated with tumors of the nerve for hearing, and tumors of the membranes around the brain and spinal cord. People with this condition are born with one mutated copy of the NF2 gene in each cell. This program will include descriptions of the clinical features, advances and difficulties in molecular diagnosis, current treatment and controversies, simplified molecular pathways and drug development and the pertinent genetic counseling.

Sign language interpreters and CART services will be provided.
