The Neurometric Evaluation Service

The Neurometric Evaluation Service (NES) was established in 1977. It is operated by BRL as a clinical service of the Department of Psychiatry at New York University Medical Medical Center. The NES performs EEG, QEEG, and multimodal ERP examinations for inpatients of NYU and Bellevue Hospitals.  Outpatients who are either treatment refractory or dual diagnostic problem are also examined, referred by NYU physicians or doctors in other institutions in the US, Europe and South America. Neurometric evaluations have been performed on over 3000 patients as an adjunct to diagnosis or treatment evaluation for a wide variety of developmental, neurological and psychiatric disorders, as well as some suffering from traumatic brain injuries or exposure to toxic substances.
