Division of Biostatistics

FACULTY POSITIONS (TENURE/TENURE TRACK)

The Division of Biostatistics is undergoing expansion to support major, new initiatives at the New York University School of Medicine. The following new positions are available immediately:

Faculty Positions

  • Collaborate with physicians and scientists throughout the New York University School of Medicine in the development and conduct of multidisciplinary research programs in basic science, clinical, and translational research through the newly created Centers of Excellence. These Centers of Excellence include: Addiction, Urological Research, Cancers of the Skin, Musculoskeletal Disorders, Brain Aging, and Multiple Sclerosis.
  • Develop novel statistical, biostatistical, bioinformatics, and computational methodologies that are motivated by and advance collaborative research.
  • Participate in the teaching programs of the Division. The Division has an active Ph.D. program in Biostatistics and is responsible for teaching in the School of Medicine and the Graduate School of Arts and Science.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Qualified candidates must have a Ph.D. in Biostatistics or Statistics with interests in pursuing independent research and collaborating with biomedical investigators. Postdoctoral experience a plus.
  • Experience at a research institution and in biomedical collaboration preferred.
  • Background and experience in the design and analysis of clinical trials, translational research studies, epidemiologic studies, statistical computation or bioinformatics.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
