Mayer Sagy, MD is Board Certified in Pediatrics and in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. He has had a vast experience in teaching nurses, residents and fellows the art and science of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. His competency as a teacher and a researcher granted him the honorary titles of Fellow of the College of Critical Care Medicine (FCCM) and of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP). Over the past 22 years, Dr. Sagy has been the Director of 3 Critical Care Programs; from 1989 to 1991 he directed the program at Morristown Memorial Hospital, from 1991 through 2011 he was the Program Director at Cohen Children?s Hospital of NY and currently he has been appointed the Director of the Division of the Pediatric Critical Care at NYU Medical Centers. Dr Sagy has acquired high level administrative skills in the area of Quality of Patient Care and has expertise in utilizing Six Sigma methodologies. Dr. Sagy has additional professional responsibilities in Pediatric Emergency Preparedness and he serves as the NYC Committee Chairman for Pediatric Critical Care surge capacity.
