Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery; Chief, Division of Orthopaedic Oncology; Director, Orthopaedic Oncology Center at BellevueDr. Rapp received his medical degree from the University of Iowa. He completed orthopaedic residency training and a fellowship in musculoskeletal oncology at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle. Before joining the NYU Langone Medical Center faculty he was Assistant Professor and Attending Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. Dr. Timothy Rapp is Chief of the Division of Orthopaedic Oncology in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. With offices at the NYU Langone Medical Center's Clinical Cancer Center and Hospital for Joint Diseases, Dr. Rapp handles a full spectrum of conditions from benign bone and soft tissue tumors to bone and soft tissue sarcomas and metastatic bone disease. He works collaboratively with numerous other NYU faculty members to provide patients with multidisciplinary oncology care. As Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, he is involved in resident and fellow education and focuses his research in the molecular biology of sarcomas.
