Clinical Responsibilities

Eric Lewandowski, PhD is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and licensed clinical psychologist at the Child Study Center. Dr. Lewandowski treats children and adolescents with mood, anxiety, and disruptive behavior problems. He also has particular interest in and experience with grief and bereavement, and served as a clinician in federally-funded research on the treatment of complicated grief. Drawing on this expertise, Dr. Lewandowski is also a member of the Pediatric Psychiatry Consultation-Liaison service at Tisch Hospital. Dr. Lewandowski was previously involved in research, supported under the Affordable Care Act, to develop national quality standards for the management of depression in adolescents - work that was published in Pediatrics and reported on in several media outlets. He has also published research papers on resilience in children of depressed parents. Dr. Lewandowski will be giving school workshops on depression in early teens during the Spring, and will also give a workshop on grief in children at the Child Study Center in the Fall.
