He then pursued orthopaedic surgical training at the Massachusetts General Hospital and the Brigham and Women?s Hospital of Harvard Medical School. He has won numerous international awards for research involving both the cervical and lumbar spine. He has been decorated for his work involved with minimizing postoperative infections and perioperative complications in spinal surgery.
