Clinical Responsibilities

Eugenia Gianos, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the New York University School of Medicine. She is the director of the Preventive Cardiology fellowship and the Inpatient Cardiovascular Prevention Consult Service. She is a member of the NYU Noninvasive Laboratory and the Womens Heart Center. She is an attending physician in echocardiography and nuclear medicine and is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. Her clinical interests include preventive cardiology, dyslipidemia, valvular heart disease, coronary artery disease and womens heart disease. She also has an interest in community outreach and cardiovascular risk factor modification, and is actively involved in the Bellevue Healthy Hearts Program.

Dr. Gianos is the co-principal investigator of the IMPACT trial (Investigation of Motivational Interviewing and Prevention Consults to Achieve Cardiovascular Targets trial). Her research interests include recognition and optimization of cardiovascular risk factors.
