Clinical Responsibilities

Dr. Bendo currently serves as the Director of the Spine Service, Clinical Affairs, at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases. He is an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the New York University School of Medicine. He is a recognized expert within the field of Spinal Surgery. His expertise is focused around the surgical treatment of degenerative spinal disorders including herniated disc, spinal stenosis, and spondylolisthesis. He also treats complex spinal deformity including scoliosis and kyphosis. His surgical practice focuses on less invasive spinal surgery to insure a quick and easy postoperative recovery. Dr. Bendo is very involved with clinical research at NYU HJD and has published extensively within the field of spinal surgery. He sees patients in the Spine Center at NYU HJD as well as in his own office at 862 Park Avenue (77th and Park).
