Research Interests

Overall interest: Improving outcomes in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention using translational research methodologies, with a focus in explicatory research designed to identify mechanisms of disease and novel therapeutic approaches. Current focused interest in optimizing the biological basis of coronary artery disease by modifying the inflammatory and metabolic milieu in order to preserve myocardial function and ensure better long-term prognosis.
