Neuropsychology Consultation Service

The Neuropsychology Consultation Service is the service referred to when a clinician in the Hospital has a question about the neuropsychological functioning of a patient.  Patients referred for neuropsychological testing may be psychiatric patients or medical patients, inpatients or outpatients.  Externs on this service receive training in the administration, scoring and interpretation of a variety of neuropsychological instruments.  They evaluate patients presenting with a wide range of neurological, medical and psychiatric conditions. They will receive close, individual supervision from licensed staff neuropsychologists and participate in a weekly case conference.

Training Period and Time Commitment:
Summer (June-August) and Academic Year (September-June) externships available.  A minimum of three mornings or two full days a week required.

Qualifications:
Open to doctoral students of any level with experience administering tests of intellectual functioning.  Prior neuropsychological testing background is desirable but not required.  Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply.
