The General Bellevue Externship Program

The General Externship Program is the broadest of the Externship Programs offered at Bellevue.  Externs in this yearlong program gain experience in outpatient psychotherapy with adults and children, group psychotherapy, and testing.  In addition, they spend three mornings a week working on a rotation in a clinic or unit that that is of particular interest to them.  Over the course of the year, they complete three of these rotations.
