Nancy Sanchez
Senior Vice President and Vice Dean for Human Resources

Among her other efforts, Ms. Sanchez was responsible for: overseeing development of a desktop, web-based tool to provide critical human resource information to managers regarding their faculty and staff; development of an effective HR transition process for new faculty; development of a leadership educational program for managers on various human resource topics; development of a postdoctoral handbook to provide crucial information and establish new policies for this group of employees; overseeing development of creative and effective recruitment and retention strategies in the area of compensation, particularly for those positions in which critical shortages exist in the industry; creation of information resources on benefit plans and development of the flexible benefit program; and creation of a Criteria-Based Performance Management System to comply with the Joint Commission.
Ms. Sanchez also serves the Medical School by participating in key school-wide committees including faculty diversity, faculty benefits and tenure, tenure-based salary review, and a multidisciplinary approach to facilitate the recruitment of new faculty, among others. Ms. Sanchez holds a Master of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations from the Baruch/Cornell Program.
