Real Estate Development & Facilties (RED+F)
The Real Estate Development and Facilities (RED+F) Department provides strategic campus planning and project development services, including architectural studies, programming, design, construction and associated infrastructure and technological upgrades, for new structures and renovations to existing structures on the NYU Langone Medical Center campus. The Department also operates and manages all facilities, infrastructure and related support services across the medical center.
RED+F is composed of the Real Estate, Housing, Planning & Project Development, Facilities Operations & Management, Finance & Administration, Campus Security, Environmental Services, Environmental Health & Safety, Radiation Safety and Clinical Engineering divisions. The Department plays a key role in the Campus Transformation Initiative.
The Real Estate Division administers the leasing and acquisition of real property, provides portfolio management services, and manages the operations of commercial and residential property for the medical center.
The Housing Services Office recognizes the challenges involved in the search for affordable housing in and around New York City and strives to be a housing resource for faculty, students, and staff at the medical center.
Parking and Transportation
NYU Langone Medical Center offers on-site parking accommodations for patients and visitors as well as staff. Valet parking is available from the main entrance of the Medical Center and from the Rusk Institute for Rehabilitative Medicine.
The Planning and Project Development Group plans, designs and implements the construction of all NYU Langone Medical Center clinical, research, academic, and administrative facilities while ensuring adherence to financial, technical and compliance guidelines.
Project Planning and Design
The Project Planning, Development and Design group provides Project Administration throughout the entire design/construction process, from initiation to delivery.
The Construction Management Team implements the project, constructing it as described in the Contract Documents (construction drawings and specifications) created during the Project Development phase. The Project Managers in the Construction Management Group provide oversight services for the Hospitals Center and the School of Medicine, using their expertise in architecture, engineering, design and construction to bring capital construction and renovation projects from design to occupancy.
The Facilities Department maintains and operate all facilities of the NYU Langone Medical Center, including the full spectrum of facilities management, preventive maintenance and utilities management.
Environmental Health and Safety
The Environmental Safety group protected medical center personnel in all departments and on all levels from health and safety hazards.
Includes the divisons of buildings and grounds, emergency preparedness, health and safety, and worker's compensation.
Finance & Administration
Finance & Administration provides a wide variety of services and functions to the different groups that collectively make up RED+F and serves as the central financial and coordinating unit within the Department.
Campus Security is dedicated to providing a safe and secure environment. This is done through a series of fixed and mobile security posts, as well as electronic security measures such as closed circuit cameras and alarms.
Clinical Engineering is responsible for testing, repairing, and maintaining in proper and safe operating condition, the hospital's diagnostic and therapeutic equipment.
Oversees use of radioactive materials and machine sources of ionizing radiation for NYU Langone Medical Center, New York University, and also for Bellevue Hospital Center, and VA Medical Center.

Information for students, including Academic Calendar, the First and Second Year Block Schedules, Electives, Clerkships, National Resident Matching Program (NRMP), Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and information relating to credentials for graduates.
Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA)
