Action potential arrives at the neuromuscular junction and stimulates
release of neurotransmitter.
The neurotransmitter causes depolarization of sarcolemma that progresses
down T-tubules.
Depolarization of the T-tubules stimulates the opening of calcium channels
in the nearby Terminal Cisternae of the Sarcoplasmic Reticulum (Triadic
Junction).
Intracellular Calcium increases and binds Troponin-C
Tropomyosin moves, the crossbridge cycle
begins, and the muscle contracts.
