About The........

NYU torchNYU SCHOOL OF MEDICINE

GME CONSORTIUM

NYU has established academic and clinical relationships with North Shore University Hospital and its network institutions (North Shore University Hospital at Glen Cove, Central General Hospital, Huntington Hospital, LaGuardia Hospital), Lenox Hill Hospital, the Brooklyn Hospital Center, New York Downtown Hospital, the New York Veterans Affairs Medical Center, the Hospital for Joint Diseases/Orthopaedic Institute, Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, and the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation facilities, Bellevue Hospital Center, Gouverneur Diagnostic and Treatment Center and Goldwater Memorial Hospital. These facilities and the NYU Medical Center hospitals (Tisch Hospital and the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine) comprise the NYU School of Medicine GME.

Each of these institutions has a long-standing commitment to graduate medical education. Collectively, they are responsible for training over 1,900 residents and fellows each year. In 1994, these institutions came together to apply for a NYSDOH grant to implement the NYU School of Medicine Graduate Medical Education Consortium. Together these institutions are working towards identifying, evaluating and pursuing opportunities for collaboration in their graduate medical education training programs.
